Neurobica is a psychological exercise, sort of fitness for the brain. These exercises involve the five senses: sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch.
Their systemic embodiments stimulate the development of new nerve compounds in various areas of the brain, make the nerve cells healthier and contribute to the production of nutritious substances that improve the memory.
These exercises should be done in the morning and after a while you will feel their positive effect:
Brush your teeth with the passive hand
Studies have shown that the use of the opposite hemisphere of your brain (as provided by this exercise) yielded results for a rapid and significant extension of the area of the cortex.
How to do it: Brush the teeth with the passive hand (for the most people that is left), and also don’t forget to open and use toothpaste tube with the same hand.
Take a shower with your eyes closed
Tactile sensations will activate other areas of the brain. Your hands feel that it is impossible to see and send signals to the brain.
How to do it: try using only the sense of touch (do everything extremely carefully to avoid injury). Open the tap water set, trusting only to your tactile senses. Then shower with your eyes closed.
Change your morning habits
Studies of the brain showed that the new tasks increase the area of the cortex, fixing the increase in the level of activity of the brain.
How to do it: put your clothes on after breakfast, walk with the dog in another area, change your favorite channel on TV and radio.
Turn upside down the usual items! Literally
When you watch properly put items your left “verbal” part of the brain recognize them easily and immediately transfers your attention elsewhere. When you turn them upside down, your right brain turns on and tries to recognize the shapes, colors and attitude towards the strange pictures.
How to do it: Turn upside down your family pictures, clocks, calendars.
Change your place at the table
In most families each member has its own seat at the table, but your brain constantly needs new experiences.
How to do it: change places, change position at the table and you will look at another corner of the room where you are. Even at another people and the way in which you reach for the pepper and salt.
Breathe new aromas
You probably don’t even remember learning that the aroma of the coffee is associated with the beginning of a new day. You can activate new pathways by connecting new, unusual flavors – vanilla, mint, etc. with some new activities.
How to do it: Keep an extract your favorite fragrance around your bed every week. Open it and inhale as you wake up, and then do the same when you dress and wash.
Open the car window
The hippocampus is a part of the brain responsible for the memory. It will be brighter if it experiences smells, sounds and images.
How to do it: try to recognize new sounds and flavors on your way to work. Opening the window will help you do just that.
Study the products in the supermarket
The stores are designed so that the most used goods are located at eye level. So you don’t see a lot of things, looking only at this level.
How to do it: stop about any line in the shop and look at the shelves up and down. If you see things that you have not noticed, take good read and think about it. It’s not necessary to buy it, but you have already broken your routine and have acquired a new experience.
Increase the communication during the day
Research has repeatedly shown that the lack of communication has a serious negative impact on the overall cognitive abilities.
How to do it: You want a drink? It is better to buy a drink from a seller in the store than from a machine.
Read in a different way
We use various departments of the brain when we read or hear in ourselves, when we read aloud or silently.
How to do it: read aloud to your interlocutor, alternating the roles of listener and reader. It is possible to read the book a bit longer, so you’ll spend more time together.
