DAY 3

  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 1 cucumber or lettuce

For dinner

  • 4 ½ oz chicken (boiled or steamed)
  • 1 orange
  • 1 whole-wheat rusk
  • 1 cup of herbal tea (no sugar added)

DAY 4

For lunch

  • 4 ½ oz goat cheese
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 whole-wheat rusk

For dinner

  • 4 ½ oz beef (boiled or steamed)
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 apple
  • 1 whole-wheat rusk

DAY 5

For lunch

  • 7 oz meat or fish, boiled
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 whole-wheat rusk

For dinner

  • 1 pound carrots or peas or potatoes (boiled or steamed)

Note: the vegetables and meat should ideally be eaten without salt, with just a drizzle of olive oil.

Regarding this diet recommended by the cardiologists, Monday is the only day of the week you will have to follow a “special diet”. Here’s what you should eat:

For breakfast

  • 1 glass of fresh lemon juice diluted in water (without sugar)

For lunch

  1. 1 apple, 1 whole wheat toast

For dinner

  • 1 boiled egg
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 whole-wheat rusk

Important note: alcohol is prohibited for the duration of the diet program.

The 6th and 7th day are “days off”, so you can eat what you want but still be careful not to throw yourself on junk food and try not to eat sugary foods or processed foods.

From the 8th day on, you can start the same diet, following the same pattern.
