Washing your face daily is an important routine to clean the skin and get a radiant complexion. However, some commercially available cleaners can be very aggressive and damage the delicate and fragile skin of the face, and are not necessarily effective! Not to mention the amount of chemicals they contain and which are absorbed by the skin. This is why we now recommend this remedy with honey!
The best would be to look something from the nature in order to find the best natural cleanser. To clean the impurities from the skin while nourishing your skin, there is an old mask, mixture of water and honey.
The benefits of honey as a cleanser
Ordinary foaming cleaners are effective for cleaning the skin, but their aggressive effect deprives the skin of its natural moisture and pushes it to produce more sebum to compensate dryness. This overproduction can trigger problems such as pimples, blackheads, etc.
Contrary to these chemicals, honey cleans the skin while nourishing and moisturizing the skin, as well as by providing a multitude of benefits:
- Honey is a natural antibacterial and probiotic product that reduces rashes and prevents the appearance of acne.
- It is ideal for very sensitive skin, and helps to treat rosacea and eczema.
- It is suitable for all skin types: it balances sebum production for oily skin and moisturizes dry skin.
- It is as effective as cleaning agents but much more gentle to the skin.
- For acne-prone skin, Manuka honey is preferred because it has powerful antibacterial and healing properties.
- Honey has an immediate anti-wrinkle effect.
How to wash your face using honey?
When buying honey you must pay attention to choose a Bio honey, which is neither “pasteurized” or “filtered” that way you can use it every day without any side effects!
Take ½ teaspoon of honey and warm it slightly between your fingers before applying it on your face. You can also add a few drops of water to thin the honey. Gently massage your face to rub honey and improve circulation. Then rinse your face with warm water and pat dry.
For best results, it is recommended to leave a thin layer of honey on your face for 10 minutes before rinsing.
Finish with your usual tonic. If you do not have one, you can prepare it by mixing 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar with ½ cup water or aloe vera. Keep the mixture in a bottle or in a spray bottle.
Before use, it is best to test this tonic on the crook of your arm to avoid irritation. After use, it is not necessary to flush it. This mixture will effectively lighten your complexion and unify, tighten your pores and improve the appearance of your skin while boosting the antibacterial effect of honey.
