When a mask is applied on the hair, we want to maximize its benefits. But sometimes our desire to accomplish anything prevents us to devote one or two hours of our day to take care of the hair. To overcome this problem, see our recipe for nourishing the hair.
The hair is constantly assaulted by the elements that surround us and the changes taking place inside our body. Sun, cold, pollution, stress, vitamin deficiencies, hormonal changes, etc. all are attacking our hair and make it brittle and dull.
So if you want to restore its luster, flexibility and strength, you must take great care of it. Start with the health of your body: stay away as much as possible from stressful situations, stay hydrated properly by drinking at least 6 cups of water per day, adopt a healthy and balanced diet that will compensate your weaknesses and answer your nutritional needs.
Then make sure your hair routine does not damage your hair: use natural shampoos that correspond to the nature of your hair, use wide hair brush to detangle your hair without damaging it, and move the sebum from the roots to the lengths and ends and avoid over exposing it to heat sources such as hair dryer or flat iron.
In addition, by regular application of natural hair care products you will find the hair stronger, softer and shinier. To help you, we offer this nourishing mask made with natural ingredients.
Recipe for a nourishing and moisturizing hair mask
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 1 banana
- Juice of one lemon
In a blender, mix thoroughly the banana and coconut milk, then add the lemon juice and mix again. Apply the mixture on your hair and let it stand for 20 to 30 minutes before rinsing and washing with your usual shampoo.
Tip for better penetration of the hair mask
For better penetration of your mask, wrap your hair in aluminum foil or plastic wrap and cover with a warm towel. The heating effect will open the scales of your hair and scalp and allow better absorption of nutrients. So, when your hair is nourished and hydrated in depth it will become stronger, softer and shinier.
Important note: do not let the mask dry on your hair; otherwise the adhesive effect of the banana will tangle the hair.
Benefits of the ingredients
- Coconut milk: Featuring a large amount of lauric acid and various nutrients, it helps to nourish the hair, moisturize and strengthen the hair follicles. Thus it helps to stimulate hair growth and to make it more flexible and shiny.
- Banana: Rich in minerals, vitamins and antioxidants, it helps protect the hair against damage caused by free radicals, to clean up the scalp, to moisturize and strengthen the structure of the hair. It also has the ability to close the scales of the hair and accelerate their growth.
