To soothe sunburn, just prepare a mixture of turmeric and aloe vera gel, and then apply it to the area in question. Leave on for 15 minutes, then rinse.

Mix 1 teaspoon of water, 1 teaspoon honey and 1 teaspoon of turmeric, to prepare a natural mask. Apply to face, leave on for 10 minutes, then rinse.

Put 1 teaspoon of turmeric in 4 cups boiling water. Consume this drink to soothe heartburn.

Mix 1 tablespoon of turmeric, ½ tablespoon of Himalayan salt and few drops of water to obtain a consistent cream. Then apply the mixture on the affected area and leave for 20 minutes.

Mix 1 teaspoon of turmeric, 3 tablespoons of coconut oil and 2 teaspoons of baking soda. Use this mixture to brush your teeth.

Use turmeric spice to add color to your dishes. Remember to add it in the scrambled eggs, sauces, soups and cakes.

  • Fabrics dying

Fill a ¾ basin with water and add 5 heaped tablespoons of turmeric. Boil this mixture and simmer for a few minutes. Then dip a wet fabric in the bowl and marinate for about 1 hour. Then take the fabric out and let it dry. The coloring of your fabric will be successful.


Turmeric is a thinner; it must not be accompanied with an anticoagulants nor used before childbirth, surgery and tooth extractions.

Do not consume it regularly and in large quantities, because this spice can cause seizures ulcers. Turmeric is not recommended for pregnant women. Anyone under medical treatment should seek advice from their doctor before consuming it.
