Did you know that the tea in the bags is not even washed? This means that if it was sprayed with carcinogenic pesticides, they will end up in your cup of tea. A study by the Glaucus Research Group reported that the biggest brands tea bags contained up to 91% of pesticide residues.

What to do with the tea bags?

A recent article in The Atlantic tried to discover what was hidden in those famous bags. These contain PLA (polylactic acid), a corn-based material used by many companies because of its biodegradable properties. Paper tea bags are also to be avoided because they contain epichlorohydrin, a widely used material in the manufacture of epoxy resins. In addition, the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) considers this compound as a potential carcinogen.

So what are the solutions?

Opt for organic tea that you can buy at your local herbalist store. This option will help you use the fullness of antioxidants while avoiding additives and artificial flavors.
It is consumed for centuries and this drink is rich in antioxidants, particularly polyphenols, which have anti-inflammatory properties, promote the proper functioning of the heart and prevent the proliferation of cancer cells. Indeed, tea, particularly green tea, has many health benefits, including:

However, you must not abuse it. In daily use, it is recommended to drink 3 cups of tea per day. Excessive consumption of tea can cause the following effects:
