– Over 40% of adults report daytime sleepiness severe enough to interfere with the daily activities.

– 69% of children experience one or more sleep problems a few nights or more during the week.

Organizations like the CDC were invited to conduct a survey when studies revealed an increase in motor vehicle accidents, industrial disasters and other deplorable events. They concluded that Americans simply do not get enough sleep. In fact, the CDC found that lack of sleep was the main cause of these injuries and deaths.

In other words, it is very important for the adult brain and the human body to get at least 7-8 hours of sleep per night. Children need more because of their continuous development – at least 10 hours of sleep. Teenagers need 9-10 hours of sleep.

So what can we do to get a good night sleep? Obviously, it is crucial to make our sleep a priority, in the same way as having a ritual before going to sleep.
