Cancer is one of the most common fatal diseases. Quiet and difficult to detect, it takes many lives. That’s why researchers are working hard to find a cure. And according to recent studies they recommend, cunnilingus! Let’s see why?
What is cancer?
Cancer is uncontrolled and anarchic proliferation of mutated cells of an organ. When they become cancerous, they can detach from their tissue of origin and move to cause other tumors in the nearest organs.
This disease becomes fatal if not treated in time; it can be caused due to several internal and external factors. The internal factors include hereditary factors, hormonal disorders, disorders of the immune system, etc. As for the external factors, they are linked to environmental factors, lifestyle, bad habits such as alcoholism or smoking, etc.
Moreover, according to a study conducted by IARC (International Agency for Research on Cancer), tobacco is the leading risk factor for lung cancer. The risk rate of developing this type of cancer is 10 to 15 times higher in smokers, and 1 to 2 times in passive smokers (non-smokers exposed to smoke).
When the diagnosis takes place, doctors are seeking treatment for the type of cancer, in order to eradicate the tumor and slow down its development. The patient may undergo a surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, immunotherapy or hormonal therapy.
How to prevent cancer?
To protect your health and significantly reduce the risk of developing cancer, it is important to adopt a healthy lifestyle that limits your exposure to risk factors. Thus it is recommended to follow these tips:
A diet rich in fruits and vegetables and low in red meat and no processed foods.
Regular physical activity helps control your weight and prevent obesity, which increase the risk of cancer and other diseases (cardiovascular, for example).
Stop or limit your consumption of alcohol and tobacco, which are respectively responsible for head and neck cancer and lung cancer.
Avoid exposure to chemicals, both domestic and professional use, which significantly increases the risk of development of cancer cells in the body.
Cunnilingus, how it helps fight against cancer?
Another method of prevention and fight against cancer would be the practice of cunnilingus! In addition to satisfying the sexual desire of both partners, cunnilingus would protect against the proliferation of cancer cells and cardiovascular disease, provided of course that the genital area in question is healthy and clean.
According to a study by the State University of New York, when the sexual act occurs, the body releases the hormone DHEA (dehydroepiandrosterone), called the anti-aging hormone, and oxytocin, known under the name of pleasure hormone. Both provide protection against the development of cancer cells.
Various studies on DHEA, secreted by the adrenal glands, have demonstrated its anti-aging effects that improve the skin condition, bone density and libido. It also comes into play in the production of male and female hormones and has a protective effect on the immune and cardiovascular systems.
DHEA against cancer
The anti-cancer efficacy of this hormone is in its ability to reduce the carcinogenic enzyme Glucose-6-Phosphate Dehydrogenase (D6PD) inhibiting thymidine uptake (substance necessary for the spread of cancer cells) and curb oxidant effect of cancer-causing chemicals.
According to a study of 5000 British women, those with low levels of DHEA have an increased risk of developing breast cancer.
Another study of 9 healthy men whose average age was 64, showed that DHEA supplementation for 20 weeks allowed to boost the activity of T cell lymphocytes. They are responsible for the destruction of different pathogens (bacteria, germs, viruses, etc.) as well as mutated or abnormal cells that may become cancerous.
DHEA thus helps boost the immune system, prevents cancer and inhibits its development.
Oxytocin against cancer
As for oxytocin, the hormone released during sex, it can boost the libido and have better orgasms, both in men than in women. In addition, it helps counter the effect of the stress hormone (cortisol), reduces hot flashes in menopausal women, improves sleep quality and boosts the immune system.
A recent Italian study, says that oxytocin plays a critical role in regulating the proliferation of these cells, and according to an Australian study, oxytocin helps fight against breast cancer by inhibiting the development and proliferation of cancer cells.
However, it is good to be aware of the risks you expose during such practices. Indeed, cunnilingus – and fellatio – puts the people to an increased risk of throat cancer. According to an American study, led by Dr. Maura Gillison, a professor at Ohio University, the practice of oral sex increases the risk of developing oropharyngeal cancer by 22%. This is due to risk of contamination by Human Papillomavirus (HPV), responsible for the appearance of the highly contagious genital warts and more than 70% of cancers of the cervix. In addition, a man of many partners would be 8 times more exposed to this type of cancer.
