You’re Washing the Hair Wrong the Whole Time! Here’s how to do it properly…

We all probably wash our hair the same way. But have you ever wondered if it was right or not? Indeed, the appearance of your hair depends, among other things, on how you wash it. Here’s how to properly take care of your hair.

1 – Rinsing
Before applying shampoo, your hair should be completely wet, this will help relax and open the pores. This technique is very effective because it will help you clean the scalp thoroughly and get rid of excess sebum.

2 – Conditioner
For those with long hair, it is advisable to use conditioner before applying the shampoo. However, it is advisable to use a conditioner based on 100% natural ingredients that you can get in a health food store. Otherwise, you can apply coconut oil 30 minutes before taking a bath. This will help moisturize your hair and prevent it from frizzing.

3 – Don’t apply too much shampoo
It is advisable to avoid shampoos sold in supermarkets because they contain chemicals that can be hazardous to health. You can get a natural shampoo in a healthy food store. Or you can prepare your own shampoo at home. Here is the recipe:

Ingredients:
• 25 oz nettle shampoo (biological)
• 3 ½ oz panthenol (provitamin B5, available in drugstores)
• 1 oz nettle essential oil
• 2 oz castor oil
• 2 Ampoules Vitamin B

Preparation
In a flask, mix all ingredients until you get a consistent texture. Then you can use it when needed. Furthermore, this shampoo is rich in natural ingredients with many benefits. For example, nettle accelerates blood circulation and promotes hair regrowth. Panthenol promotes cell regeneration. Castor oil is rich in antioxidants that prevent gray hair and stimulates hair regrowth. Finally, Vitamin B strengthens hair and prevents hair loss.

4 – Lathering technique
The technique of lathering is very important when you clean your hair because it can damage the cuticle. Do not rub too hard, massage your scalp by performing gentle circular movements. Gently massage the scalp to stimulate blood flow.

5 – Do not shampoo twice
Unless your hair is really dirty, it is recommended not to use shampoo more than once, this will only dry out your scalp.

6 – Apply conditioner only on the hair length
It is advisable to apply conditioner on the hair length and not on the scalp. Start with the tips of the hair and go to the root. This will allow better absorption. However, opt for a natural conditioner that you’ll find in a health food store.

7 – Rinse with cold water
In addition, it is advisable to use cold water for your final rinse. This will accelerate the blood circulation in the scalp, promote hair growth and give extra shine.

Few more tips…
• Do not wash your hair every day; it will become drier because you eliminate the sebum and its color will tarnish faster.
• If you dye your hair, avoid products that contain baking soda. Baking soda is natural bleach.
• Avoid daily use of flat iron or hair dryer, this may damage the hair.
• Before you take a bath, put some oil (coconut oil, castor oil, olive oil…) 30 minutes before washing your hair. This will deep feed the hair and prevent falling.
