Tulsi: natural remedy to purify the skin
Tulsi or holy basil is a plant native to India, very popular with specialists in Ayurvedic medicine for its many health benefits. This plant belongs to the family of Basil and has relaxing, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. A study by Dr Bhupesh Patel of Gujarat Ayurved University in Jamnagar has indicated that this plant would be very effective against H1N1 when consumed in infusion.

Tulsi for acne
Take 10-12 Tulsi leaves, 7-8 Neem leaves and a teaspoon of sandalwood powder. Grind the Tulsi and Neem leaves, add sandalwood powder and some rose water to obtain a mask. Next, apply to clean skin and leave for 20 minutes and rinse. Sandalwood powder has the ability to tone the skin and to deeply hydrate it, while the antibacterial properties of Neem and Tulsi reduce excess sebum and help prevent the occurrence of acne pimples.
Tulsi for dry skin
Take a few Tulsi leaves at you will grind into a powder. Then add a little sugar-free yogurt and mix the ingredients well, apply on your face and leave on for 15 to 20 minutes. Tulsi will tighten the pores and preserve skin hydration, while yogurt contains lactic acid that deeply penetrates the skin and promotes hydration.
For acne scars
The antiseptic and healing properties of Tulsi help to accelerate the healing of the skin and stimulate cell renewal. To do this, apply Tulsi powder every night before bed mixed with coconut oil on the affected areas. You can also apply the mixture to heal wounds and burns.
To remedy for oily skin
Tulsi has antibacterial and cleansing properties that thoroughly clean the facial skin, tighten the pores and reduce sebum production to prevent oiliness of the skin. For this, mix Tulsi powder with some water so as to obtain a paste. Apply it on your face, keep it on for 20 minutes and rinse. Apply this remedy 2 times a week.
