Aspirin is a popular medication to treat minor aches. But that’s not all! Check out these 9 surprising uses of aspirin.
Aspirin is indispensable in your family pharmacy because it cures headaches and toothache, among other things. But besides its healing power, it can be used for many other things…
1 – Clean up the skin
Containing salicylic acid, aspirin helps to have a healthier and more radiant skin. Indeed, the active ingredient helps eliminate dead skin cells and excess sebum and cleans congested pores, preventing blackheads and acne.
How to use it?
Crush 5 aspirin tablets and mix them with ¼ cup of water and a teaspoon of honey. Apply this mixture on your face and leave on for 10 minutes before rinsing with warm water.
2 – Keeps the flowers fresh
A fresh cut bouquet does not keep more than a week or two if you’re lucky! However, aspirin can help preserve them longer and in better condition.
Due to its composition, aspirin will act as a preservative. All you have to do is add an aspirin to water your flowers.
3 – Remove sweat stains
The stains under the arms in particular are very annoying and prove difficult to wash. But these yellow spots are not indelible.
Mix two aspirin with a little water to make a paste that you will apply on the spots. Leave the aspirin to act for one or two hours and then wash your clothes.
4 – Reviving hair color
Chlorinated water can alter the color of light hair. If you forgot to put your swimming cap the last time at the pool, do not worry, we have the solution! Dissolve 3 aspirins in a glass of warm water and apply the solution on your hair. Leave on for 10 minutes before rinsing. Your hair will regain its radiance!
