- Spray bottle
- Lavender essential oil
- Hot water
- Baking soda for its cleansing, degreasing and disinfecting properties.
For starters, fill ¾ of the spray bottle with hot water. Pour a few drops of lavender essential oil. But be careful not to put too much because large quantities of oil could stain your furniture. Lavender has the property to scare away all insects, including flies, because of its rather strong odor and repellent to insects. Besides, it is also used in the treatment of lice and nits in children.
Then add 3 tablespoons of baking soda to the preceding mixture.
Shake the spray bottle vigorously to mix the ingredients and spray the desired location.
It is not forbidden to add fragrances to your mix but make sure they are natural and organic to prevent allergies in people who live in the house. But the best is the essential oils with pronounced and refreshing smell such as orange, lemon or mint oil.
Caution: Avoid spraying essential oils next to your pet, some can cause bad reactions.
