How To Use Watermelon As a Medicine

Watermelon is well-known for its refreshing effect, especially when is hot in summer, consuming it preferable cold, gives you instant freshness and hydration. You can consume watermelon as much as you want, as it is low in calories but rich with minerals and vitamins. As it is rich with juice, easily detoxifies the body and restores all its lost fluids and minerals.

However, there is an unknown fact when watermelon’s seeds are concerned. Usually we spit them or remove them before we start to eat it. Hence, it is highly beneficial to consume it after a hard workout or if you are practicing some sport. Hard workout tightens the muscles and causes an itchy sensation, as a result of  lactic acid.

After several surveyed researches, scientists at the University of Cartagena, Spain, state that watermelon is the most powerful weapon against muscle pain. According to “Daily Mail”, quoting: “they have found that ‘L-citrulline’ accelerates the removal of excess lactic acid from the muscles”.

Therefore, consume watermelon as much as possible as a dessert or otherwise, and don’t forget its seeds, acquire all its health benefits and enjoy the amazing taste. It is not necessary to mention that its juice can be mixed with other fruit juices thus having an amazing drink.
