As the body’s protective outer-shell, your skin puts up with a lot.
Instead of shelling out money and being wasteful try making something good for your skin at home with only two ingredients you probably already have: coconut oil and baking soda.
When you think about the health benefits of coconut oil, we’re going to guess that the last thing that comes to mind is rubbing the edible plant grease all over your face. Some like to use it as a face scrub, since it also eliminated dead skin. Our homemade face cleanser shrinks pores, treats acne and removes blackheads all at once.
Commercial moisturizers contain lots of water, which makes you feel like your skin is being moisturized. But as soon as the water dries, your skin becomes dry again. This oilprovides strong antibacterial properties. Baking soda can help you look your best from head to toe.
- 2 tsp. extra virgin coconut oil
- 1 tsp. aluminum-free baking soda
Mix both ingredients in a small bowl till is all smooth.
How to use it:
Rub the prepared paste on affected skin areas and leave it on for 5-6 minutes. Rinse off with warm water and massage your skin. Coconut oil is a brilliant skin moisturizer. For the most part, baking soda (which is made of sodium bicarbonate) is harmless, but if you have sensitive skin, do experiment with caution.
