  1. Pasteurized Cow Milk

    DAIRY is the second most dangerous substance we can put into our bodies for many of the same reasons. We are told milk is the perfect food, and needed for calcium. But we are not told that the pasteurizing of milk (heating it to temperatures of 160 degrees or higher) changes the calcium to an inorganic form, which cannot be assimilated by the body.In nature, no animal pasteurizes its milk… and no animal drinks the milk of another species, nor does it ever drink milk after the age of weaning. The only source of bad cholesterol (LDL) is animal products!

    Consuming refined grains instead of whole grains may result in atherosclerosis, or thickening of the arteries, which is a risk factor for heart disease, according to a study published in the “American Journal of Clinical Nutrition” in June 2007. Another study, published in the same journal in December 2004, found the bran component of whole grains, which is no longer present in refined grains, may be most protective against heart disease, as study participants who consumed the most added bran had the lowest risk for heart disease.
  3. Refined flour
    The production of white flour involves stripping away of the most nutritional aspects of the grain: the germ and the bran. It also includes the addition of lost B vitamins and iron, and bleaching it with a chemical bleaching agent to make it appear bright white. The flour itself is devoid of the fiber which aids in passing easily through the large intestine. A person following a diet that regularly includes eating white flour as well as sugar (fructose, primarily), or products made with the ingredients, increases their chances for weight gain, insulin resistance, and type 2 diabetes.
  4. Refined sugar
    The World Health Organization recommendation for sugar consumption is no less than 10% of calories, but arguably, this recommendation should be much less. Those that are overweight, pre-diabetic, or suffering from any kind of health issue should limit and/or avoid sugar. Free sugar, meaning sugar that isn’t bound to fiber in fruit, can lead to inflammation, blood sugar instability, and, over a period of time, type 2 diabetes.

    Table salt causes the blood pressure to rise rapidly because the blood is attempting to move the toxic elements rapidly away from the heart. This is why doctors will often tell people with high blood pressure to stop intake of salt. Moreover, excessive table salt causes us to retain waters and other fluids.Table salt is particularly hard on both the circulatory system and nervous system. It also wreaks havoc on the delicate balance of the lymph system in the body. This salt is also highly addictive, as the more the body becomes used to the high levels of fake sodium, the more it craves it.
