Back pain is a common problem that affects most people at some point in their life.
It may be triggered by bad posture while sitting or standing, bending awkwardly, or lifting incorrectly. It’s not generally caused by a serious condition.Back pain is one of the most common reasons people go to the doctor or miss work and a leading cause of disability worldwide. Most people have back pain at least once.

The following 5 exercises will help prevent pain:
- Toe Presses
This pressure point can be located by pressing your finger in the indented spot between your big and second toe. When you are close to the point where the tendons meet, it is located where it is sorest when pressure is applied.
Uses: Stress, anger, headaches, irritability, anxiety and menstrual pain.
- Toe Walking
Toe Walking or early heel rise during gait (which may looking like bouncing while walking) can arise from a multitude of impairments including muscle tightness, core weakness, impaired balance, etc. Prolonged toe-walking may also result in any of the above, excessive falls, or muscle contractures.
- Ankle circles
Do 5-10 circles one direction, then reverse the circle. After you’ve done one foot, repeat your 5-10 ankle circles in each direction with the other foot.
- Resisted Flexion
Place your right index finger in between your right big toe and second toe, at the base of the big toe. Use your thumb on the outside of the base of the toe, at the top of the arch of your foot, which is in back of the large bulge of the base of the large toe. Gradually apply firm pressure on these points for one or two minutes.
- Toe Pencil Pickups
Place a pencil on the floor and lift it off the floor. Keep it for 10 seconds then you can release it.
You need to make 5 repetitions for both feet.
Acupressure is an effective form of stimulation used to help relax the muscles. If done regularly, this method of self-massage can sustain improvement and minimize recurrence of symptoms.
Be patient and consistent when practicing acupressure on them.
