MILITARY DIET LOSE 10 POUNDS IN JUST 3 DAYS

The Military Diet, or the 3 day diet, is a fast way to lose up to 10 pounds a week.

Water is the best thing you can drink on the Military Diet. So drink as much as you can!  Artificial sweeteners aren’t good for you or your blood sugar, so try to avoid them.

We have to confess, we’re not sure how this one came about, or at what level the military was involved, but the 3 day military diet is surprising popular for those who need to get skinny fast. If you only have a week or so to fit into that little black dress, the Military Diet could be exactly what you are looking for. Warning: some of the food suggestions sound gross and beyond unconventional (think hot dogs and ice cream).

DAY 1:

Breakfast

  • 1 piece of toast
  • 2 tablespoons of peanut butter
  • 1/2 grapefruit
  • 1 cup of tea or coffee (with caffeine).

Lunch

  • 1 piece of toast.
  • 1/2 cup of tuna.
  • 1 cup of tea or coffee (with caffeine).

Supper

  • 1 cup of green beans.
  • 3 ounces of any type of meat.
  • 1 little apple.
  • 1/2 a banana.
  • 1 cup of vanilla ice cream.

DAY 2

Breakfast

  • 1 piece of toast.
  • 1 egg.
  • 1/2 a banana.

Lunch

  • 1 hard boiled egg.
  • 1 cup of cottage cheese.
  • 5 cracker crackers.

Supper

  • 2 hotdogs (without bun).
  • 1/2 cup of carrots.
  • 1 cup of broccoli.
  • 1/2 a banana.
  • 1/2 cup of vanilla ice cream.

DAY 3

Breakfast

  • 1 piece of cheddar cheese
  • 5 cracker crackers
  • 1 little apple

Lunch

  • 1 piece of toast.
  • 1 hard boiled or prepared egg (optional).

Supper

  • 1 cup of tuna.
  • 1/2 banana.
  • 1 cup of vanilla ice cream.

You’re allowed to switch out some foods if you have food allergies or other dietary needs. But only make swaps that the diet approves. For example, you can have sunflower seed butter instead of peanut butter or a tofu dog instead of a hot dog.

To “burn” these calories you need to eat less or exercise more to create an energy (calorie) deficit. Your body makes up the energy shortfall from your stored fat. The Military Diet is purposely low in calories which guarantees your body will have to resort to using stored fat for fuel so you lose weight.
